Head of Research Institute
The decision to name the institute after Ilse Arlt is intended to symbolise the connection to the long-standing Austrian tradition of research-led social work. Ilse Arlt embodied an understanding of social work that focuses on social structures in order to help marginalised groups and sees social work as a duty to society, while also recognising that particular methods need to be applied in individual cases.
